A word from the PTA chairperson

Turitea School PTA are a team of dedicated volunteers who do their best to create extra experiences for the fantastic Turitea tamariki. We also work hard to raise funds to support the school. We aim to bring the students and their families together in social activities and to enhance the children’s schooling experience through our contributions.

The PTA functions with three elected officers; a chairperson, treasurer and secretary, who are elected at the annual AGM and any other volunteers who wish to join. We encourage and welcome new members and are always looking for new ideas for events that bring the community together and to raise funds. Volunteers are an integral part of the PTA and whanau involvement is encouraged and welcomed. We appreciate your time is valuable and therefore appreciate whatever you can contribute. Some of the tasks can be done at home so you don’t have to attend meetings to be involved, or simply help on a stand during an event.

Feel free to chat with any of our existing committee members. They will happily answer any of your questions and don’t forget to follow us on Facebook.
