Tēnā koutou katoa (Hello everyone),  Firstly, I want to apologise to our incredible support staff for not acknowledging them in last Friday’s pānui, as we celebrated Support Staff Day last week. We are very fortunate to have a group of incredible wahine; Aimi, Julie, Dani, Kirstin, Meryl and Mitzy. They are the unsung heroes of our kura, always there to give extra support in the classroom, helping out wherever needed, having their role change on a dime and doing those jobs that often go unnoticed. Kristin comes to us from Massey University where she is in the process of completing her Post-Graduate Diploma of Teaching, making Turitea her first kura, which is exciting! End of Term 2 Week 2 Pānui

Tēnā koutou katoa (Hello everyone) My apologies for the parking situation this week with the works going on in our rear carpark to replace our septic system. I appreciate your understanding of this job being done. As you can see above, our tamariki thought having an excavator and HIAB truck coming to school and craning in the new tank was pretty choice! End of Term 2 Week 1 Pānui

Nau mai hoki mai ki te wāhanga tuarua, (Welcome back to Term 2) We have certainly hit the ground running to start the new term. We opened with our usual Mihi Whakatau on Monday to welcome our new students and I am always beyond proud of our tamariki for just how normal this process has become for us at Turitea.
